CASA 15th Judicial Circuit recruits, trains and supervises community volunteers who serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) for children in court due to abuse, neglect or private guardianship. They are appointed by the Juvenile and Probate Court Judges to be the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) for children under the age of 21. CASA/GAL volunteers spend time with the children, families, teachers, therapists, and medical professionals to collect information that helps the Judge make the best interest decision for a safe, caring and permanent home for each child.
CASA/GAL volunteers are everyday citizens who are specially trained and appointed by the court to advocate for the safety and well-being of children who are victims of abuse or neglect. They stand up for children and their futures.
You can support CASA 15th Judicial Circuit through individual donations, event sponsorships, your company's matching gift program, or by hosting a fundraising event. Your contribution will support CASA/GAL volunteers in their efforts to help our community's most vulnerable children.
You can support the organization's mission even if you don't have time to become a CASA/GAL volunteer. We have many volunteer, outreach and other opportunities to stay connected to CASA 15th Judicial Circuit.
CASA 15th Judicial Circuit (Lee, Carroll & Ogle Counties) is a non-profit, volunteer organization that advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children with the Juvenile Court system.
